Making Time Count

The days have a tendency to drag on during the winter months. We like to take lots of drives. We're lucky to have a sled hill, swimming pool and bowling alley, and movie theater that plays 2 or 3 times a weekend, just a short drive away from our house.

Yesterday we went sledding. I went down one time. Just once. I hadn't even sat down in the sled before I remembered why I don't downhill ski, let alone sled. I have an uncontrollable fear of going fast. I drug my feet the whole way, which caused snow to fly up in me and Tanner's faces. I think we both felt like crying by the time we finally stopped. Tanner went down the hill many more times with Dillan and Brandon. I did not. I enjoyed watching and taking pictures.

This morning we took a drive and saw a little moose along side the road eating. I'm going to miss seeing all the moose when we leave Alaska.

Driving along snow covered dirt roads.

After today's nap, we took the boys bowling. Tanner was thrilled to be bowling. It was Dillan's first time, and he seemed to enjoy it a lot as well.

Aren't bowling shoes fun?!?

He didn't want any help.

Dabbing away after bowling. No Bingos for us.

We're not just passing time here, we're making time count.
